Charting a bull-flag breakout, S&P 500 (almost) tags next target

U.S. stocks are lower early Monday, pressured modestly after a lackluster batch of quarterly earnings results.

Against this backdrop, the S&P 500 is digesting its latest break to six-month highs. The S&P’s April peak (2,910.5), established Friday, has thus far registered nominally under the 2,912 target.
